To jump off the new year with a positive start, my family and I decided on buffet for dinner.
Korean-owned, and located right across the street from a driving range, Mizumi just opened about a month ago in Douglaston. For a newbie on the block, it’s doing quite well for itself.
The decor and ambiance is sleek and chic. The food selection is very similar to Minado: fried meats/seafood, udon noodles, salads and of course sushi/sashimi. Although I want to say Mizumi offers more variety at the sushi bar, whereas Minado has a salad bar that is to die for. Last but not least, the desserts at Mizumi are a bit more decadent. They have everything from churros to a frozen yogurt station!
All in all, Mizumi is a pleasant buffet restaurant for family dining. Just make sure you arrive hungry because you’d want to eat your $32 worth.
